We are so excited to announce that one of our keynote speakers is Christina Dyer!! In 1997, Christina Dyer and her new husband Leif, set off to take the honeymoon of a lifetime. They backpacked independently to over 25 countries around the world, exploring and photographing various cultures from the Maasai tribes of Kenya to the mountain Sherpas of Kathmandu, Nepal. Since that time, Christina has dedicated her life to balancing all that she dreams of accomplishing personally, with the day to day responsibilities of raising three children and being a dedicated and present “SuperMom”.
Christina holds a Bachelors degree in Retail Management/Home Economics and a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology, where she also got her license with the National Board of Certified Counselors as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She spent 3 years in the trenches as a Child Protection Social Worker for Los Angeles County removing children and the reuniting families torn apart by substance abuse, violence and neglect. She was featured on CBS news magazine’s television series, “48 Hours with Dan Rather” for her social work.
Christina left social work to take her dream honeymoon, which led to interesting and unique other experiences. In 2006, Christina did mission work with survivors of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, and in Tanzania in 2008. She has since been interviewed for radio and newspapers in the US, Canada and Africa for her work in Africa. Today, she brings her education, diverse career experiences and her passion for life’s adventures to her consulting and speaking, intending to teach leaders how to persuade others into action, inspire individuals to create larger, more courageous visions for their lives, and coach individuals and teams to employ simple, everyday strategies to think differently and achieve more.
18 months ago, Christina and her family moved to Rocklin, CA from Chicago to chart a new course for their lives, and to get out of a rut she and her family were experiencing. During her presentation, Christina will share her most personal and often hilarious stories from her trek around the world, offering her unique and global perspective on hardship, choices, personal responsibility and living intentionally, spiritually, and aware so that while balancing your role as mother and caregiver, you can paint the life of your dreams.
